The WOOE Awards for Excellence bring together each year at IFEMA some of the most outstanding professionals of the year for their work in favor of olive oil.
AWARDEES 2027
Lifetime Achievement Award to MANUEL PARRAS ROSA, in recognition of a lifetime dedicated to the development of the olive oil sector through academia, research, and public institutions.
Olive Oil Sector Communication and Outreach Award to MERCACEI, for becoming the leading international reference publication for olive oil professionals.
Institutional Olive Oil Promotion Award to the Canary Islands Institute of Agri-Food Quality (ICCA), for its commitment to promoting and enhancing the value of olive oil produced in the Canary Islands.
Territorial Development Award to the Provincial Council of Castellón for its project: Castelló Ruta de Sabor, for promoting olive oil tourism, local gastronomy, and rural development.
Olive Oil Heritage Award to Cooperativa del Campo San Miguel, for embodying the values of cooperativism, tradition, and excellence within the Spanish olive-growing sector.
HoReCa & Gastronomy Award to Euro-Toques Spain, for promoting the use of olive oil in haute cuisine and strengthening ties between producers and the restaurant industry.
International Outreach Award to GIULIA CROUCH, for her educational and promotional work in international markets and her contribution to increasing awareness and knowledge of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO).
Olive Oil Sector Advancement Award to JUAN LATORRE RUIZ, for his institutional commitment to the development of both the olive oil sector and olive-growing regions.
🌿 WOOE 2027 Ambassador: PERIKO ORTEGA, a Michelin-starred chef and one of the leading figures in Spanish gastronomy. His creativity, commitment to local heritage, and advocacy for extra virgin olive oil have earned him the distinction of being the WOOE 2027 Ambassador.
