The World Olive Oil Exhibition will be held on the 8th and 9th of March 2022

The World Olive Oil Exhibition brings back the magic of olive oil to IFEMA MADRID on the 8th and 9th of March 2022. It will be held in pavilion 2 of the fair. It is the only international trade fair exclusively specialized in the olive oil sector.

The 9th WOOE will be focused on three essential key points for this sector: trade, sustainability and knowledge. After the standstill caused by the pandemic, the World Olive Oil Exhibition returns maintaining the same purpose as in previous editions: to revive the olive oil markets on a global scale. It will be once again the foremost meeting point in which producing companies will enhance their business opportunities.

The WOOE’s organizers are well aware of the paramount role that the olive groves play in order to preserve the world’s primary producing regions —that are currently some of the areas most threatened by depopulation— and also their fundamental role as the most powerful method for carbon fixation. That is the reason why these crucial topics will be dealt with at the conference.

The WOOE also provides a unique opportunity to discover the latest harvest on an international scale. Visitors will have the opportunity to delight in the harvest at the Olive Oil Bar, the area where visitors can taste independently.

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced us to postpone our annual gathering until 2022, following the difficulties encountered when completing our fair during the past and current year. Nevertheless, throughout this time, consumers have continued to stay true to olive oil and, therefore, both retailers and purchasers are finalizing their preparations to deliver the best for clients for the following edition.

2022 Awards

The WOOE will award the prizes granted in 2020’s edition that had to be postponed due to Covid-19; both the main prizes and those of “Delicatessen With Olive Oil”, which awards innovation in diverse products elaborated using olive oil, will be given on this occasion.
