Approximately thirty COI members will attend the event
The 8th World Olive Oil Exhibition, which will be held on the 27th and 28th of March at Madrid’s IFEMA, will host an important number of visitors coming from Europe. Moreover, the International Olive Council (IOC) has summonedaround thirty of its members for an Advisory Committee a few days prior to the event in the Spanish capital for them to be able to attend the WOOE.
These visitors will come from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Romania, Slovakia and Portugal. Furthermore, the WOOE organizers point out the attendance of the top ten most important olive oil purchasing companies from Italy; on this occasion, the fair will provide a unique opportunity for the international and Spanish olive mills.
The IOC will hold its general assembly on the days prior to the fair to enable the attendance of all the participants in the World Olive Oil Exhibition, which will be inaugurated by the IOC executive director, Abdellatif Ghedira, who will also kick off the conferences with a panel in which he will speak about “Figures from the sector”. Mr. Ghedira will also take part in the presentation of the handbook The international olive cultivation: historical distribution, strategic analysis and descriptive outlook.
