Toshiya Tada is a relevant figure in the world of trade and finance, but he also possesses wide expertise in sensory analysis. Such knowledge, together with his passion for gastronomy, has made him a staunch advocate of olive oil in his country. He passes on the value and uses of this treasured product. Toshiya Tada considers that “the most important is to share with consumers the latest information about the supply of olive oils and its quality. And the WOOE is the appropriate place to obtain such data”.

Toshiya Tada will give a presentation on the distinctive features of the Japanese market. Thanks to his independency regarding any commercial or governmental institution, Toshiya Tada is the leader of the pressure group that advocates for olive oil quality in Asia, through the Oil Sommelier’s Association of Japan (OSAJ) and the annual event Olive Japan.

The World Olive Oil Exhibition 2015 will have other presentations at its Conference. Keynote speakers from the sector and experts on different fields will discuss a wide range of topics. For example, Jean Louis Barjol will talk about the world trade situation of the olive oil sector. “The international sector of olive oil elaboration from the supply and the demand point of view” will be the subject addressed by Juan Vilar, managing director, CEO and president of GEA Westfalia Separator Ibérica. Also, Juana Ortega, director of AS’UMUT, a company of management consultancy services, will talk about the importance of food safety as a marketing element. And “How can design help you to sell better?” will be the theme presented by delegates of the Andalusian Center for Design Surgenia.

The 4th WOOE will be held on the coming 12th and 13th of March 2015 with the aim to increase the number of professional visitors from all over the world. During the past WOOE, more than 37 countries participated with their olive oil importing companies.

To increase international transactions for their products, this event is also paramount to the one hundred or so companies that participated in the 2014 WOOE, which were mainly olive oil producers, but also business agents, suppliers for the olive oil sector, and specialized media.

The World Olive Oil Exhibition will keep on working for and supporting all the trade categories, whether they are commercialized as packaged or bulk products.
